Research on how to support individuals and families after a suicide loss is in its infancy. Sadly, therefore, all current research findings conclude that the provision of support by professionals is inadequate to meet the needs of those who are bereaved by suicide.

Additionally, research has shown there can be complicated and heavy feelings projected onto professionals which need regular processing or it can significantly effect the wellbeing of professionals.
